I’ve double checked my packing list. I’ve picked up all of the last minute things I’m going to need. I’ve stuffed everything that I will be needing into a single backpack. I’m now sitting at the airport and I think I’m ready.

To be honest, I don’t quite know what to expect from this trip. I’ve never travelled out of the U.S. before, and all I really have to go off of is a combination of amazing pictures and a few horror stories from the internet. I am looking forward to this trip though. I do know that whatever happens will be an amazing experience, and that is all I can ask for.

I’ll be travelling with Adela, a friend from college. Adela knows how to run a tight ship and already has the whole trip planned out for us. Our first stop is Singapore where we will be staying with Adela’s family. We’ll be exploring the city as well as taking river and night safaris over the first few days there.

Anyways, it’s just about time for my plane to board…
